The Schenectady County Public Library has U. S. Census microfilm for Schenectady County from 1790 to 1930, and indexes from 1810 to 1850. The New York State Library has New York State census records from Schenectady County on microfilm for 1835, 1845, 1855, 1865, 1875, 1892, 1905, 1915 and 1925, as does the Schenectady County Historical Society. See Dick Halsey's site for more New York State census information, Census Records of New Netherland/New York at the Olive Tree Genealogy for more online census records.
We intend to eventually make all Schenectady County census information available on this site. If you're interested in helping us with the project, contact us at census@schenectadyhistory.org.
