SCHENECTADY DIGITAL HISTORY ARCHIVE
a service of the Schenectady County Public Library

Schenectady County, New York in the 1835 New York State Census

As part of a cooperative venture between the Schenectady County Public Library and the Schenectady County Clerk's office, we are able to make images of the original state census records available along with transcripts. Thanks to County Clerk John Woodward for his enthusiastic support of this project.

Scanning of the First Ward of Schenectady is complete and we anticipate finishing the Second Ward and the county summary pages sometime in May. The towns of Duanesburg, Glenville, Niskayuna and Rotterdam will be added over the next several months.

Each of the transcripts below will link to the images, or you may browse them page by page.
