Control Division: Buildings 53, 60, 65, 69, 73, 81, 89 & 285

The Control Division is one of the largest in the Schenectady Works. Its products are used throughout industry and are included as component parts in many home appliances... The size and value of control products ranges from simple "Switchettes" - switches about one inch long - used for aircraft and electrical appliances, to large steel mill panels ranging up to 100 feet or more in length.

The function of control is to serve as the "brain" that guides and conserves the use of electricity... Simple and elaborate control systems developed in the engineering division and manufactured in Schenectady play a major part in helping and promoting industry in its constant effort to provide better and less expensive products for everybody.
