Small and Medium Motor Division: Buildings 18, 40

The Induction Motor Manufacturing Division at Schenectady not only manufactures some of the largest induction motors built but also builds the versatile three-horsepower motors whose rating of 120,000 revolutions per minute makes them the world's fastest notors... The major portion of manufacturing capacity at Schenectady is set up to build Tri-Clad motors ranging from 20 horsetower and larger... These motors are used in power stations, machine tools, paper mills, oil refineries and similar industrial applications... Many special types of motors are also built to suit special requirements of customers.
