Large Motor and Generator Divisions: Buildings 12, 14, 16, 52, 60, 64, 66, 91

The Large Motor and Generator Divisions are responsible mainly for the design and manufacture of synchronous and d-c rotors and generators, motor-generator sets, and water wheel generators. Employing more than 2,000 people, the Divisions are divided into three groups... The Motor and Generator Division proper builds and tests hundreds of large synchronous and d-c motors and generators, motor-generator sets and water wheel generators each year... The Welded Products Division torch-cuts raw steel, rolls and welds it into frames for motors, generators, and turbines... The Carbon Products Division consists of a developmental laboratory which works continuously toward better grades of carbon brushes and other carbon products, and a manufacturing organization which produces them.
